Cats are a very interesting pet and they all possess a very unique personality. They typically will have their humans trained in no time. We cater to their every whim, petting them, brushing them, and of course our reward for doing these things is their company and the most prized furry nose kisses.
It’s our duty to keep them safe and healthy that’s why we must keep them flea and tick free. The irritation that fleas and ticks cause our pets once they have them is unbearable. Imagine if the fleas had infested you and you were constantly itching. That’s not a fun feeling and actually if your cat gets fleas, chances are you just might end up with them as well.
The best thing to do is to prevent them from getting fleas or ticks. I’ve tried numerous things on our cat Sassy but I’ve found that Frontline is the best thing there is. It goes on easy, doesn’t irritate her and it works.
You apply it to the back of the neck right on the skin and it lasts for a month or two. The box says to use it every month and if you’re in an area this is prone to flea or ticks, then that’s a good idea. We live in an area that is not so I only use it every other month and it keeps Sassy flea and tick free.
If you cat already is unlucky enough to have fleas or ticks, you first need to give them a bath, remove the ticks with tweezers being careful not leave the head of the tick in the cat, then apply a flea and tick repellent like Frontline.
The only problem with Frontline is because it works and until recently you could only get it from a vet, it is expensive. Below, we’ve put together listings for online vendors that supply it at a discounted rate so you too can keep your pet flea and tick free.
